This domain was owned by the monks from St Nicolas Abbey in Angers, before being sold as a national wealth and bought by Mercedes Benz. After few transfers, the property of four hectares of vineyard has been bought by Monique Laroche, who expanded with the ‘Roche aux Moines’ plot. 100% chenin blanc with plenty of age on it, fully developed. Waxy and complex. Saffron, white mushroom, dried apricot, bruised pear and beeswax. A delightful museum release of a stand-out vintage from this benchmark producer.
