2013 Crawford River Riesling

Crawford River is an iconic family producer in the cool climate of Henty in Victoria's south-west. The Thomson family have been producing wine from their estate since 1985, making the move to organics in 2008. The vineyard is managed by hand without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or fungicides, using organic composts and grazing sheep.

"This release is still showing tinges of green to the eye and is still very youthful. The palate is intense, with lime blossom and some toasty notes, yet is elegantly poised with a silky line throughout. Elements of white stone fruit and yellow citrus coupled with a delicate savoury quality lend depth to the fine, talc-like palate. Showing the hallmark textural quality that our site and style yields, this wine is drinking beautifully and will surely continue to age superbly." - Crawford River
