The Aviet domain is just six hectares total while just 3% of their production sees export. A cult producer that we are truly lucky to see reach our shores. Melon à queue rouge is an ancient strain of chardonnay grown by only three top producers in Arbois and Montigny. A white grape, the name refers to its stem that turns red as the grape ripens. 50 year old vines, aged in old barrels for 18 months, topped up. 'Cuvée des Docteurs' refers to the medical students who came to help Lucien during harvest in the early years. Only one bottle available.
