Jacopo Battista farms three and a half hectares in the hills of Umbria with his Aussie partner, Trish Nelson (Gazzetta). With vines up to 75 years old, close to 500m above sea level on volcanic soils, Jacopo spent years nurturing his previously neglected vineyards back to health. Organic farming, zero/zero winemaking.
A true field blend of aleatico, procanico, malvasia Toscana, verdello and drupeggio from 45 year old vines. Three days on skins, six months resting. Perfumed and refreshing. Zero sulphur.
