The other ‘topped up’ white is the Côtes du Jura Blanc ‘Savagnier’, in this case the wine is kept exclusively in tank. A pure expression of Savagnin without the influence of oak or oxidation. From the lieu-dit Savagnier, located south of Chateau-Chalon in the village of Lavigny. Here the variety’s favoured blue marl coaxes a pure expression. Ripe citrus/lime dominates with exotic orchard and tropical notes, electric minerality and the hallmark saltiness. A reference for this variety.
