"Our previous visit to Provence was in 2019 which we remember was very dry and very hot. In fact, the Milan vineyards were subjected to 24 hours where it was 46 degrees Celsius accompanied by strong winds. As a result, they lost 30% of the fruit due to the heat. They therefore picked the Pinot Noir earlier than normal to maintain a backbone of acidity to balance the rich ripe fruit. As with all the other vintages of Pinot Noir, this wine was aged in oak for 1 year." - Living Wines
