2020 Domaine Mosse Bangarang

WINEMAKER: Agnès, René, Sylvestre & Joseph Mosse
VARIETAL: Pineau d’Aunis, Cabernet Franc
REGION: Loire Valley, FR
VITICULTURE: Organic/Biodynamic
"90% Pineau d'Aunis from 50-70 year old vines, 10% Cabernet Franc. The Pineau d'Aunis had just four days whole bunch maceration, while the Cabernet was destemmed and macerated for 10 days. Transferred to concrete and stainless for fermentation and maturation. Fresh, floral and juicy. Strawberry, pomegranate and plum with a twist of amaro and a little spice. Glou glou. In the fridge and away you go. "Millennial movie buffs might know that Bangarang was the battle cry of the Lost Boys in the Stephen Spielberg movie Hook, immortalised when Robin Williams as Peter Pan used it to call them for help. The movie was a favourite of Joseph and Sylvestre Mosse when they were children and we suspect still is. The lot number of this wine is Hook3." - Living Wines
