2020 Gentle Folk Ashton Chardonnay

Gareth is a former marine biologist who was born in South Africa and settled in South Australia as a teenager thanks to a tennis scholarship. After working vintage with James Erskine (Jauma), Gareth began to make his own wine from 2013 with his partner Rainbo.

100% whole bunch, 11 months in French and Austrian oak, 20% new. "Our third release from this little patch of goodness where the aspect and heavy clay soils result in a wine with boldness and spiciness. There are beautiful stone fruit characters and a punching acid line from the 2020 season" - Gareth Belton.
