2021 Combes What's Beneath Chardonnay

"A Chardonnay that comes from the Cordillera Vineyard in Macclesfield, on the mudstone and clay loam side of the vineyard. 2021 is probably the best fruit quality I've seen however, unfortunately quantities were down. This wine has both generosity and mineral depth. The wine was whole-bunch pressed, wildly fermented and put to rest in a combination of old puncheon and new demi-muid on gross lees for nine months, full malolactic happened over this period." - Oscar
