Upper Yarra Valley Pinot Gris from the red and chocolate soils of The Patch Vineyard at the back of the Dandenong Ranges. Stomped a couple of times. 14 days on skins, then pressed to old puncheons where it goes through full malolactic fermentation prior to 4 months ageing at cool temps. No adds apart from a bit of sulphur at bottling. No fining or filtration.

Fresh herbs, spice and smokiness. Amaro, Toffee apple, figs and red berry flavours. Juicy and bright with a tight savoury tannin and a slight orange peel finish.

Smokestack Lightning is back - and now in 750ml bottles! Inspired by an early 50’s Delta Blues track originally played by Howlin’ Wolf, this is Dave Bro's raw, minimal input exploration of skin contact wine from grapes grown on Yarra soil.
