90% vernaccia rossa with some ciliegiolo. Wild, forst berries, dried herbs and mineral drive. Lifted, lots of energy. Very good with a chill. Best vintage yet.
Known as 'the shepherd who makes wine', Giovanni tends to less than three hectares, raising his sheep on organic soil punctuated by ancient olive trees from which he makes his own oil. Working strictly naturally with minimal intervention “to capture the magical expression of the fruit and the earth”, even his labels are made from grass. A truly special winemaker.
