Flanders-style red. A sustaining beer brewed to comfort in the gusty Ides of March and welcome in a wealth of warmer weather. Fermented using both ale and lager yeast, mellowed in an oak foeder and refermented in the can. After a short foeder rest, Biere de Mars is then transferred to used bourbon barrels, developing rich notes of caramel, leather, bourbon, and tart oak.
