REGION: Kartli, GE
VARIETY: Saperavi

Brothers' Cellar was founded in 2015 with the vision of turning a family tradition into a business and making Bolnisi winemaking known to a wider audience. That same year, the brothers revived the ancient qvevri tradition, producing and bottling their first wines – Rkatsiteli, Tavkveri, and Saperavi. From the very beginning, the goal was to raise awareness of Bolnisi wines on the local market and actively participate in wine exhibitions and competitions.
The first success came immediately – at Expo Georgia’s international competition, their very first vintage of Rkatsiteli was awarded a gold medal. This achievement became a great motivation not only for the brothers but also for other enthusiastic winemakers in Bolnisi, inspiring them to start bottling their own wines and creating brands. Back in 2015, Brothers' Cellar was the only winery from Bolnisi daring to take this step, while today Bolnisi proudly holds a significant place on the map of Georgian wine.
The name “Brothers’ Cellar” symbolizes family unity and a shared passion for this great Georgian tradition. Thanks to years of hard work and commitment to quality, Bolnisi has been officially registered as a Protected Designation of Origin, which significantly contributed to the production of outstanding, high-quality wines in the region.
Today, the winery produces Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Tavkveri, Chinuri, Asuretuli Shavi, and Shavkapito, experimenting every year with new blends. Their approach combines diverse techniques – from traditional qvevri winemaking to European methods and the unique "Schwäbisch" (Swabian) technology, which has become one of their key future marketing focuses.
Currently, Brothers' Cellar produces around 10,000 bottles annually. Grapes are sourced from carefully selected terroirs, chosen for their unique characteristics, with long-term partnerships established with local growers.
The future vision remains ambitious – to craft distinctive, high-quality Bolnisi wines, expand exports, and make the Bolnisi terroir known worldwide.
