Ray ; a beam of light. Grenache, the Vale, hot dry summer days, old vines and roots reaching deeply around rocks. Winemaking to capture the gravelly tannins and structure from this rocky place on the Willunga Escarpment Piedmont. Handpicked on the right day, whole bunch, indigenous ferment, gentle hand plunges and a long light press. Bottled after two winters in large old oak with minimal sulphur. Juicy fruit, cherry, pith and rocks, medium weight.
