2022 Scintilla Noontide Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc loves a little time on skins - for structure, for depth, for intrigue. Interestingly made, a parcel of carbonically macerated Sauvignon making for intense yellow fruits notes, meadowsweet. Then a second parcel that’s destemmed and whole bunch, 50/50, macerated for two weeks. If you need plenty of nice acidity, aromatics, excitement, this is the wine for you.

Sommelier-turned-winemaker James Madden has worked with the likes of James Erskine (Jauma) and Tom Shobbrook. He now shares a shed in the Basket Range with Alex Schulkin (The Other Right) to produce his own minimal intervention wines. All grapes are organic and/or biodynamic, handpicked and processed by shovel & fork. Wines are transferred by siphon using gravity, unfined, unfiltered and always zero adds.
