2023 Crusher Gold (500ml)

WINEMAKER: Dominique & Thomas
REGION: Granite Belt, QLD
VARIETY: Viognier
VITICULTURE: Sustainable
100% Viognier with 7 days skin contact before basket-pressed and oxidative transfer to glass dame-jeanne. Aged under naturally forming flor with a brief moment of american oak. Bright and fruit-forward with a lick of minerality and a slightly toasty, biscuity thing going on along the edges, too. Great with hot chips, oysters & cheese.
Crusher Wines are born from a love of locally sourced produce, community and experimentation. We source the best Queensland fruit from across a range of climates to create fun, interesting and thoughtful wines with as minimal intervention as required. We offer a fresh & accessible take on what can be expected from Queensland Wine. Made with exclusively Queensland fruit for our crisp and star-filled nights, these wines are best (in our opinion) served ever-so-slightly chilled, decanted and with good food & friends.
Our Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet and Merlot fruit is from Geynyan Country/Leyburn on the Granite Belt whilst the Barbera, Sémillon and Sangiovese is from Wakka Wakka Country/Moffatdale in the South Burnett region. All fruit hand-picked with love, laughter and hard yakka by us and our nearest and dearest. Our cork closures are sealed with charcoal-dyed local beeswax from our good friend Gary of Gary’s Honey.
