Foillard is a name that needs no introduction. Alex is the son of legendary Jean Foillard, and his influence is clearly evident (and we're thankful for it). Whole cluster fermentation, natural yeasts, concrete tanks, unfined, unfiltered. Tiny amounts as always. Unmistakably Foillard.

Alex Foillard’s Brouilly comes from the aptly named 'La Folie' (Madness), a steep vineyard just above Reverdon. The general rule is that Brouilly is the Côte de Brouilly’s slightly softer, more sensuous sibling and Foillard’s is a glorious example. Alex's 2021 Brouilly wafts from the glass with sensual aromas of sweet blue plums, berries and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless, it's elegantly refined and resonates with gossamer tannins, juicy acids and a long, perfumed finish. Superb.
