2021 l'Octavin Grenabar

WINEMAKER: Alice Bouvot
REGION: Jura/Provence, FR
VARIETY: Vermentino, Carignan
VITICULTURE: Organic/Biodynamic
"Also from Claude Ughetto, this wine is what Alice calls a "trempette" of whole bunch Vermentino in the juice of directly-pressed Carignan juice. The maceration was for 3 weeks. It was bottled in June 2o20. The literal meaning of "trempette" is to "go paddling". 12.5% ABV. It is very light, much lighter than the last Grenabarwe had which was sourced from a different place and made a different way." - Living Wines
Alice Bouvot started from scratch in 2004, buying a small cellar in the village of Arbois and a couple of hectares of vines in the hills surrounding. She now farms around five hectares biodynamically and harvests grapes from trusted friends all over France. A highly sought-after cult producer.
