2018 Le Coste Carbò

Gianmarco Antonuzzi & Clémentine Bouveron tend to 14 hectares overlooking Lago di Bolsena, the largest volcanic lake in Europe. With vineyards up to 600m above sea level, planted amongst olive groves and chestnut trees, Le Coste is home to a unique collection of microclimates rich in biodiversity. A leading light in biodynamics with a serious cult following.
Only made in select years with the right conditions, this is 100% sangiovese from their 'Le Coste' vineyard using carbonic maceration. Fermented as whole bunches in open top wooden casks for three weeks, followed by two years élevage in old barrels. Lifted and complex.
