There is new blood in Bugey and he comes by the name Louis Terral. Louis recently settled in the historic stronghold of Mérignat making wines that are truly unique for the region. Pure, ethereal examples of mountain gamay. Named after Marianne, a female figure of the French republic. Old vine gamay at an altitude of 600m, this is the most special of Louis wines. This wine sees carbonic maceration using only the CO2 from fermentation. The wine then goes to barrel for 6 months. A very special light gamay with an almost poulsard feel.
