After spending over a decade training horses to work in vineyards across France, Vouvray native Alexandre came back to the Loire in search of his own vineyard. He now farms three hectares of chenin blanc and gamay without any technology, only horse and plough. 100% chenin blanc. Nine months élevage in old barrels. Unfined, unfiltered, minimal sulphur. Rich and generous yet still fresh. Beautifully textured with great length. Fleshy nectarine, smoked honey, yellow apples, lemon verbena and saline minerality. A wonderful expression of Vouvray.
