Castagnucoli farm is located in the southern part of the Euganei hills, in Cinto Euganeo. Nicola Del Santo has been leading it since 2010: an ex archaeologist on his forty. His father, a teacher, in the 70s buys house and land; vineyard get planted soon after, he builds a cellar and in the 90s he certifies everything organic. Nicola grows up there, gets out of it, comes back, starts making wine again.
Wine is the one taught by his father, renewed by the comparison with those who in that territory are breaking new paths, those that lead to natural wine: Alfonso Soranzo (Monteforche), Filippo Gamba (La Costiera), Marco Buratti (Farnea) friends who exchange wine and knowledge. For Nicola those are exercised on the parcels scattered around the cellar and the overlying "Monte" Gemola (281 asl).
