"One of the best rosé-ish things on the planet" - Us, and soon, you.
Baba Yaga is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. It's skin contact Sauvignon Blanc co-fermented with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon. It's wild and aromatic on the nose with red berries, rose petals and herbaceous notes. The palate is textural and fresh with citrus fruits.
After several vintages abroad, Sarah Morris and Iwo Jakimowicz returned to Margaret River to make wine on home turf. They produced the first vintage of Si Vintners in 2006 with borrowed equipment in a friend’s shed. The next major milestone for the husband and wife team was when they became custodians of some of the oldest vines in the region with the purchase of the Halcyon vineyard south of Margaret River in 2010. Since then the focus of their management has been solely on biodynamic/organic farming. All the wines are made with no additions other than some SO2 at bottling, and little (if any) use of new oak to best give a true representation of their sites.
