2024 Amo Vino Ramato Pinot Grigio
Description
WINEMAKER: Tim Stock
REGION: Adeladie Hills, SA
VARIETY: Pinot Grigio
VITICULTURE: Organic/Sustainable
Hand-harvested Pinot Grigio from Nova Vita in Kenton Valley, northern Adelaide Hills. Always picking early to try and get some pop from the fruit. Fermented on skins until the ferment is cold and quiet before pressing and running to a mix of tank and old oak, roughly 50:50. The higher colour year delivers an attractive pale peach colour with a faint copper note. The fruit aromas are also more on the pink fruits with raspberry and heirloom peach and a little blood orange plus a nice dusting of cooking herbs. Medium weight it’s a little more herbaceous on the palate but dried herbs emphasised by the juicy acidity and some chalky tannins. The fruit flavours are more citrus here again with blood orange, clementine and mandarin. Super succulent with enough tannin to compliment fresher snacks. 12.4% ABV

Come curious. Leave with a new favourite.
We don’t tell you what to drink. You don’t need to know your varietals, regions or vintages, and you certainly don’t need to pretend you do. Tell us what you like, hate, what you’ve tried or curious about — we’ll take it from there. Sometimes the best bottle is the one you didn’t know you wanted.
