The cool summer produced grapes with high and refreshing levels of acidity. Free run juice was barrel fermented in new French oak using wild yeast. Matured on fine lees in a mixture of 1300L foudre and 500L older French oak puncheons. The wine underwent 100% wild malolactctic fermentation.
A beautifully clean, pure nose of ripe melon, lemon zest, white peach with a lick of vanilla and toast from the oak. This has texture balanced with a mouth-watering acidity giving a classic, elegant style of Chardonnay to suit all occasions.
