Mostly Pinot Auxerrois (we think around 80%) with some Pinot Noir. Rarely seen outside of Europe, let alone outside of the domaine, with production ranging from just 300 to 1200 bottles.
Laurent Barth has garnered a serious cult following. Taking over his family vineyards in 1999, soon converting them to biodynamics and establishing his own label, Laurent now farms around four hectares across 27 scattered plots in his small town of Bennwihr. Careful, patient and precise in the cellar with long, natural ferments up to 12 months in barrel with only indigenous yeasts. There is an unmistakable purity and depth to Laurent's wine.
