2018 Crawford River Reserve Riesling

This wine is typically released with age and with 5 years in bottle we feel it is ready to release. It is still youthful and is immediately appealing with a bright nose showing fresh aromas of lime zest, lemon grass, white peach and cumquat. The palate has wonderful shape and texture, which is defined by layers of chalk, mineral intensity and hints of macadamia. This wine is pure and concentrated with poise from the beautiful acid line throughout the wine. It is luscious and long and is drinking incredible well now but has huge cellaring potential.

Crawford River is an iconic family producer in the cool climate of Henty in Victoria's south-west. The Thomson family have been producing wine from their estate since 1985, making the move to organics in 2008. The vineyard is managed by hand without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or fungicides, using organic composts and grazing sheep.
