2019 Dobrá Vinice Kambrium

WINEMAKER: Petr & Andrea Nejedlík
REGION: Moravia, CZ
VARIETAL: Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc
VITICULTURE: Organic/Biodynamic
The grapes are hand-picked and fermented with indigenous yeast. Matured for 10 months in old oak barrels. Bottled with minimal sulphites. Fresh and floral, with a slatey, mineral backbone.
Founding their winery in 1992, Petr and Andrea Nejedlík have been pioneers of the natural wine movement in the Czech Republic. Bordering Austria to the south, 80% of the Dobrá Vinice vineyards are located in the Podýjí National Park, providing the wines with a unique mineral quality as a result of the Palaeozoic bedrock. The wines go through long periods of maceration, and are aged in a mixture of oak, acacia, and amphora.
