2019 Gazzetta Bianco Susanna

After working with Cantina Giardino and Le Coste, Trish Nelson moved to a small cottage in Località Gazzetta on the hills above the village of Bolsena in Lazio’s north. She farms two hectares next to Lago di Bolsena, the largest volcanic lake in Europe, a unique microclimate in which her vineyard sits between the Mediterranean Sea and the Apennine Mountains. Trish works organically, using herbal teas made from local plants such as nettle, dandelion, willow and chamomile, and without any additions whatsoever, including sulphur. Pure and expressive. 

Direct press of procanico and malvasia Toscana. Saline, zesty, a little herbaceous. Bright, zippy, immediately enjoyable. A wonderful aperitif. Zero sulphur!
