2019 Léah Anglès Divay Rouge

The Rousillon is truly the frontier for new producers and one of the most exciting and unknown of those is Leah Angles. Leah is a 29 year old winemaker, who has worked for Philippe Gard at La Coume del mas, on Collioure/Banyuls since 2016. In 2018, she made her own wine called Divay (it means wine in Malagasy ie Madagascan, where her Grand mother and mother are from). In 2021 she took over her own 5ha vineyard in Collioure on pure schist, one that had been managed organically and was neighbouring where she previously sourced fruit from. With her Weimaraner Wanda she works the painstakingly difficult vines all by hand.
