De-stemmed and with a short maceration, from 2019 Massimo began elevaging a portion of the cuvee in old barrels as well as tank. Earth and thyme on the nose to begin, this bolder medium bodied soulful gem is filled with sarsaparilla and some medicinal herbs. Freshness yet generosity of fruit, the acidity is refreshing, the mouth moreish. Fine tannins build, waves of minerality, spice and black fruit energy. Fluid, plums, delicious. And also the most limited with 66 bottles available.

Hailing from Piemonte, qualified architects Antonella Gerosa & Massimo Marchiori purchased an isolated property in Bonastre in 2001, yearning for a simpler lifestyle, to grow their own produce and reconnect with the land. Surrounded by a protected forest, planted with almond and olive trees, interspersed with rosemary, thyme and Mediterranean scrub, the couple soon discovered an abandoned vine of Sumoll, a forgotten indigenous Catalan varietal.
