2019 Sylvain Martinez Rosa Bul

The truly humble Sylvain Martinez continues to impress with his zero-zero wines from the Anjou. Organically farmed and made without additions of any kind, they are pure, intensely mineral and even more enjoyable. Tiny quantities.

This is close to dry, and offers almost everything I want in sparkling wine. It's more mineral than ever, has more breadth than the excellent 2017 and is seriously complex thanks to the 12.5% abv.
