The region of Lazio (Latium in Latin) is in central Italy and is home to the capital Rome. It has all the natural resources suited to viticulture: the cooling breeze from the Mediterranean, the influence of the Apennine Mountains to the east, adequate rainfall, rich volcanic soils and an abundance of sunshine. | The Bombetti family have been farming their 3 hectares of land for over 100 years. Colleformica is located 40km southeast of Rome in the Castelli Romani area in the village of Velletri. Colleformica was established in 2018. The grapes, until then, were sold and the small amount of wine they produced was only for the family table. | As such, the land has always been lovingly cared for, never sprayed and always farmed organically. Two hectares are under vine, and the remaining hectare is a mix of olive and fruit trees, along with vegetables for the family.
