After working for conventional domaines in the Rhône and the Mâconnais, he returned to his native Auvergne, producing his first wine in 2006 while doing vineyard work for neighbouring natural winemakers Vincent & Marie Tricot and Patrick Bouju. This became a springboard for François in developing a real understanding of how to work organically in the vineyard and ultimately make wine with no additions. Since then has acquired a patchwork of small parcels totalling 4ha in the villages of Corent, Chidrac, and Perrignat-sur-Allier and has a beautiful warehouse style winemaking space and house on the outskirts of Orcet where his table tennis skills are constantly being honed.
