A little reduction on the nose initially, red florals and raspberries shine through as it opens. Fluidity and crunch on the palate. Fine tannins woven around cherries. Pops of red fruit and Mediterranean herbs. Clarity and freshness with structure.
Hailing from Piemonte, qualified architects Antonella Gerosa & Massimo Marchiori purchased an isolated property in Bonastre in 2001, yearning for a simpler lifestyle, to grow their own produce and reconnect with the land. Surrounded by a protected forest, planted with almond and olive trees, interspersed with rosemary, thyme and Mediterranean scrub, the couple soon discovered an abandoned vine of Sumoll, a forgotten indigenous Catalan varietal.
