85% shiraz and 15% cabernet from vineyards between McLaren Flat and Kangarilla in the Vale. Matured in stainless and neutral barriques to retain freshness and fruit purity. Bold and juicy, it's all cherry ripe, blackcurrant, blood plums and a little spice.
Col McBryde and Jen Gardner (Adelina) got together with good friend Nic Bourke in 2006 to establish Some Young Punks. McBryde was Young Gun of Wine for 2009, while both him and Gardner have degrees in microbiology specialising in wine yeast. Minimal intervention with a punk attitude and serious chops behind it.
