Description
WINEMAKER: Antonella Gerosa & Massimo Marchiori
REGION: Catalunya, SP
VARIETY: Ull de Llebre, Sumoll, Bobal

"A blend of Ull de Llebre, Sumoll and some Bobal. De-stemmed, approximately 3-4 days maceration for majority of the grapes. Elevage in barrel 8-10 months for some components as well as tank.
Roses, violets, cola, cool fruits. Depth and generosity moving to plump crunchy dark fruits. A beautiful acid line. Rocky mineral, Mediterranean herbs. Lithe tannins, medium bodied. A wine that enjoys oxygen." - Liz
Hailing from Piemonte, qualified architects Antonella Gerosa & Massimo Marchiori purchased an isolated property in Bonastre in 2001, yearning for a simpler lifestyle, to grow their own produce and reconnect with the land. Surrounded by a protected forest, planted with almond and olive trees, interspersed with rosemary, thyme and Mediterranean scrub, the couple soon discovered an abandoned vine of Sumoll, a forgotten indigenous Catalan varietal.

Come curious. Leave with a new favourite.
We don’t tell you what to drink. You don’t need to know your varietals, regions or vintages, and you certainly don’t need to pretend you do. Tell us what you like, hate, what you’ve tried or curious about — we’ll take it from there. Sometimes the best bottle is the one you didn’t know you wanted.
