Sourced from the Hamilton Vineyard (Golden Child) in Kuitpo, in the southern part of the Adelaide Hills where warm days are mitigated by the Fleurieu Peninsula. Organically farmed, though not certified. Handpicked Sauvignon Blanc was macerated for 2 days on skins & foot stomped before pressing to old oak for wild fermentation where the resulting wine matured on gross lees for 10 months. Bottled by hand, unfined & unfiltered. 27ppm SO2 added.

Pronounced "pop-el-vei", vej is the Danish word for street and poppel træ is Danish for poplar tree. Poppelvej is the street of poplars, named after the street in Denmark where sommelier-turned-winemaker Uffe grew up.
