"In 2021 the tiny south facing Riesling block produced the most fruit it have ever done (2.1 tonnes). The fruit was of exceptional quality and was my pick of the ferments from the beginning. The fruit is direct pressed into tank where it is racked before and after primary fermentation and then left to develop for 9 months before bottling and then resting again in bottle for 6 months before release. The wine is energetic and lively. I love the depth of classic riesling flavours that can be seen with the clarity only no addition wines can have." - Travis
Travis Tausend makes pure, compelling zero-zero wines from organically farmed fruit in Hope Forest, one of the coolest microclimates in Adelaide Hills. Using only native yeasts and zero sulphur, this is natural wine at its best and most precise - truly impressive and a joy to drink.
