The 2021 Sitting in a tree merlot is richer than i have ever made it before. A long and cool ripening period allowed the fruit to hang out on the vine for a while longer without the acid dropping away. After the fruit was hand picked I destemmed the fruit into large fermenters and covered the berries with juice to start a semi carbonic ferment. This is a wonderful full flavoured merlot with a balanced acidity that keeps it medium bodied and fresh.
