Pressings from the estate Chardonnay. A barrel from 2021 given 2 years in oak and a barrel from 2022 with 1 year in oak. It’s full of zesty fruit character and soft stone fruit. Nutty and salty due to some slight oxidative handling. Pure and pristine on the palate.
Cobaw Ridge was established in 1985 by Alan and Nelly Cooper. Vines were planted on granitic, sandy soil in the cool climate Macedon Ranges, on the cusp of the Great Dividing Range at some 610m. Their positioning, in a natural amphitheatre, provides the perfect place to produce terroir-driven wines.
