2022 Crawford River Strata Riesling

Formally known as 'Young Vines' Riesling. This wine is always ready for drinking upon release with expressive fruit, floral and mineral components. It shows delicate white stone fruit, citrus and red apple. This fruit is backed by white florals. Talc and chalk, always a hallmark of the site, integrate seamlessly. The palate starts with generous fruit, but quickly becomes fresh and brisk. It is streamlined throughout the palate with a clean refreshing finish.

Crawford River is an iconic family producer in the cool climate of Henty in Victoria's south-west. The Thomson family have been producing wine from their estate since 1985, making the move to organics in 2008. The vineyard is managed by hand without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or fungicides, using organic composts and grazing sheep.
