A blend of Trebbiano, Malvasia Toscana and Ansonica from Trish’s old vines in Belvedere, macerated for four days before ageing in vat until the springtime. A deep shade of amber in the glass, this impresses with gorgeous aromatics and firm tannins which frame vibrant flavours of citrus, minerals and herbs. A pitch-perfect vino da tavola, which lends itself to Lazio’s rustic cuisine.

After working with Cantina Giardino and Le Coste, Trish Nelson moved to a small cottage in Località Gazzetta on the hills above the village of Bolsena in Lazio’s north. She farms two hectares next to Lago di Bolsena, the largest volcanic lake in Europe, a unique microclimate in which her vineyard sits between the Mediterranean Sea and the Apennine Mountains. Trish works organically, using herbal teas made from local plants such as nettle, dandelion, willow and chamomile, and without any additions whatsoever, including sulphur. Pure and expressive.
