"The Gullyview site is now 50 years old. It is located on the Southern aspect of a hill with the rows running East to West. The soil is very bony, with very little top soil and lots of limestone. If you crouch down and look through the vineyard you can see the limestone fragments scattered everywhere. The wine is fermented in 70% ceramic egg for 2 months and 30% Stainless steel, then it ages in stainless steel for 11 months on fine lees. This is an incredibly powerful Riesling, as we keep saying we are putting the 2022 vintage up there with 2002 and 2017! Straight away the limestone minerality shines on the nose. On the palate it is plush, with powdery texture showcasing ginger spice, lemon and lime. The wine is quite complex and very interesting, making it one of our favourites." - Jono
