Sourced from the K1 Vineyard in Kuitpo, in the southern part of the Adelaide Hills where warm days are mitigated by cooling winds off the Fleurieu Peninsula. Organically farmed, though not certified.

Handpicked Gruner Veltliner was foot stomped & macerated with Greco skins for wild fermentation. After 7 day total maceration, the resulting wine was then pressed to old 600L oak barrels for 10-month maturation on full lees. Bottled unfined & unfiltered.

Pronounced "pop-el-vei", vej is the Danish word for street and poppel træ is Danish for poplar tree. Poppelvej is the street of poplars, named after the street in Denmark where sommelier-turned-winemaker Uffe grew up.
