With the trademark pink tinge from Pinot Gris/Grigio skins, this evocative skin contact beauty is like a riot of flavour, with orange, watermelon, tangerine and peach. For all that fruit salad juiciness, this carries a serious crunch, with an earthy and drying finish that makes this a rather commanding wine. Important to note - don't drink this too cold! Under his family's Villard Wines label, he has made smart, classy examples of Chilean classics from the family's beautiful 28-ha property. The skinsy Ramato Pinot Grigio was the first wine (and arguably the most famous, but more recently the range has expanded into a cloudy Semillon and minimalist Carignan, Pinot Noir & Grenache.
