After travelling the world working for many legends of white winemaking such as Julien Labet, JJ Morel, Les Bottes Rouges, Vino di Anna and even a stint with Patrick Sullivan, Ashleigh Barrowman has returned to her homeland of NZ. A collaboration between Ashleigh Barrowman and local wine importer Dan Gillett, the Still Life series focusses on classic styled varietals from organic vineyards. Any modern producer of Marlborough Sauvignon claims that theirs doesn’t taste like Marlborough Sauvignon. Well this one does, and it’s highly drinkable. Some texture from partial barrel ferment, acid, wet stone, and mineral intensity, a dry and refreshing wine.
