Kongorong, SA. At the edge of the Ellis family’s vineyard are about 20 very short rows of Semillon in front of the beige shed and just 13 km from the beach. The tractor rarely passes through as the 60 meter long make it a very inefficient exercise. Invariably the last pick of harvest and always marked with botrytis.. Directly pressed into Ceramic eggs and neutral oak, and intimately bound to all its lees for a whole year. Texture and electricity. Semillon belongs near the ocean.
Eleven Sons is Mitch Sokolin, ex-Michelin sommelier and winemaker extraordinaire, making wines from select vineyards across Australia’s beautiful but unappreciated Limestone Coast, stretching from Mount Gambier to Robe.

Come curious. Leave with a new favourite.
We don’t tell you what to drink. You don’t need to know your varietals, regions or vintages, and you certainly don’t need to pretend you do. Tell us what you like, hate, what you’ve tried or curious about — we’ll take it from there. Sometimes the best bottle is the one you didn’t know you wanted.
