The crystal ball glows brightly with this one. We have long been convinced that Nebbiolo has a strong future in the Yarra, and every year of working with these grapes that belief strengthens. Still waiting for a crop on our own young dry-grown vines, we’ve purchased fruit from Dixons Creek once more and given it the same treatment as we do our Pinot Noir. Gentle extraction, a little whole bunch and lots of love.

Heady and nostalgic, you can’t help but smile when you bring the glass to your nose. Rhubarb and sour cherry, supported by a delicate dusting of fresh cocoa and lifted by pretty florals. The palate really opens up with some air. Elegant, seamless tannins weave around tightly coiled fruit with rhubarb and strawberry leaf lingering long and seductive.

Wine that speaks of place is what Mac Forbes is all about, truly championing Australian terroir. One of the best in the game.
