100% Picpoul from certified organic vineyards, the grapes are mechanically harvested and pressed to stainless steel tanks to preserve primary fruit character. Bright yet pale golden in colour, this Picpoul is extremely fresh and evocative of its maritime proximity as sea-breeze and saline notes intersperse with zesty citrus, appleskin and herbs. Hints of peach and exotic fruits come through on the palate which is light bodied and full of vibrant acidity. Owned by environmental stewards Olivier and Floriane Azan, Chateau Petit Roubie is the only certified organic producer in the Picpoul de Pinet appellation in Languedoc-Roussillon. Bought by the couple in 1981 and converted to organics in 1985, the domaine farms 80 hectares across 5 areas within 10 kilometres from the estate in Pinet.
